I proofread and designed four bilingual posters advertising various events. The main challenge was fitting text in two languages without it appearing cramped or difficult to read.
I also suggested the owners use MailChimp, instead of email, to send out their newsletters. I explained that this would be beneficial in several ways:
- they would be able to track engagement with each newsletter, which would allow them to streamline future campaigns;
- their newsletters would be more appealing due to a more visual layout, instead of relying on text-heavy emails;
- the layout would be more conducive to a bilingual newsletter – subscribers would be able to easily toggle between English and Spanish using anchor (“jump to”) links.
